Casting issues

Casting issues

Postby yamaneko » Thu Mar 04, 2010 2:28 am

Mathieu brought this up, that there have been some issues with the casting quality of some models, and I just found out that the work was done by IWM. In addition to Wyrd, IWM also casts models for Dark Sword, Impact, Crocodile, etc.

More information here.

It is possible that casts from IWM are hit-or-miss, as I've got well cast pieces from all the companies listed above. But I know what mathieu is talking about. Sis showed me some of his Malifaux models, and the sculpts were nice, but the castings, not very crisp. :|

If you would have asked me a couple of months before what I thought I would have said it could be an issue - but since the beastmen are doing ok in sale (it seems) I rest my case... I'd rather bring out the files than put together a pig with horns and call it a mythical beast....
